EXCLUSIVE: Trump hints at major tax cut for seniors in RAV interview
Wide-ranging interview covers possibility of Biden dropping out, Trump’s appeal to minority voters, and Trump’s upcoming sentencing by Democrat judge
Washington, D.C./July 1, 2024 – President Donald Trump gave an extensive, news-making interview Monday morning on Real America’s Voice, telling host John Fredericks that he is considering eliminating income taxes on Social Security benefits as part of a plan to boost economic growth.
Trump also spoke at length about his upcoming sentencing hearing in New York on July 11, which will take place just days before he accepts the Republican presidential nomination for the third consecutive time. At that hearing, Democrat-appointed judge Juan Merchan will decide whether to send the former president to prison over a disputed bookkeeping entry.
“I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen. I would think that there should be no sentence here,” Trump said. “This was a travesty of justice.”
On the heels of the most convincing debate victory in American history, Trump also discussed the possibility of Biden dropping out of the race.
“If he doesn’t want to get out, there’s not a thing they can do about it,” Trump noted.
“We’re beating him badly in the polls, but nobody else is doing any better,” he added, citing polls showing that the most likely replacement candidates are also trailing Trump by similar margins.
